You don’t gain your weight overnight, so why would you believe that you can #lose #weight #quickly? It takes months, even years to see substantial weight gain so to lose all that weight takes months also. A healthy weight loss is about 1 to 2 pounds per week. You can do faster at the start of a diet but you should slow down after a couple of weeks and then lose the 1-2 pounds every week.
So should you lose weight?

The limit of 25 is scientifically proven to be the limit, but personally I do not think that the 25 takes age into account. With age comes weight gain and while 25 might be the limit for a 30 year old, I don’t think the same applies to a 60 year old. Nevertheless, we should all be aware of our BMI, because being overweight increases health risks considerably. Did you know that in 2006 more than 112,000 Americans died as a result of obesity? (Centers for Disease Control, 2006). Most likely that number has increased since.
How heavy is America?
We are an overweight nation. Actually, we are THE overweight nation because North America is the heaviest nation in the world. Mexico is second. Look critically around you, how many people do you see every day who should lose weight? Quite a lot right? Did you know that even our Military is overweight? These men and women exercise every day and yet a stunning 61% is overweight! And what is really bad is that we are producing a generation of children whose life expectancy is not as long as our own! Let that sink in for a while!
